Summer School - International Photonics Cluster Illumination, Imaging and Projection

Background:

Summer schools are a proven tool to bring industrial and academic developers together and communicate advanced technological subjects in an efficient manner.
The idea of establishing an International Photonics Summer School began in the minds of stakeholders of the photonics cluster in Tucson/ AZ and Ottawa/ Canada.

The first IPSS took place in August 2006 at the Berlin-Adlershof campus and was hosted by Humboldt University, Institute of Physics.

During a meeting at Photonics West 2008 in San José, California, the decision was made to propose a second summer school of this type, taking place again at the Science and Tech Park Berlin-Adlershof. The agreed goal is to offer advanced scientific issues, relevant topics for the academia, students and young
professionals from industry and practical experience.
