The Central Hungarian Innovation Centre (CHIC) is located 15 km from Budapest, in the Budaörs Industrial and Technology Park housing more than 300 SMEs.
The centre offers a modern infrastructure (research laboratories, manufacturing halls, office spaces, accommodation, conference rooms, restaurant, fitness centre, etc.) for its 24 tenants.
As a service provider and mediator CHIC provides a wide range of high quality services (business development and complex innovation-management services) that support the operation and innovation activity of SMEs settled in the centre and operating in Central Hungary.
The innovation centre encourages, promotes moreover organises the cooperation between SMEs, initiates and promotes the grouping, clustering of SMEs.
CHIC operates a Renewable Energy Competence Centre with good results for years, and a Competence Centre for Free Software as a pilot.
As the member of the Central Hungarian Innovation Agency, CHIC works on the establishment of the national innovation system at regional level, with special focus on the cooperation between SME’s and universities, research institutes (stimulates, facilitates technology-transfer, and the utilization of research outcomes), and between SME’s and the government and municipalities (improves communication, increase the information-flow, and stimulate the e-governance).
Through these activities, the centre aims to increase the competitiveness of the SMEs and of the region itself.
The ISC group is unique of its kind in Hungary that integrates all the elements of the innovation chain. The group opens global markets for inventions coming out of the Hungarian research sector and aims to convey effectively between the capital looking for investment opportunities and the innovative projects and enterprises.
The Group's mission is to promote the development of the knowledge-based projects and the growth of the small and medium enterprises, by linking the services of the member companies.
CHIC is a member of the ISC Group. The ISC Group consists of five companies, i.e. Budaörsi ISC Ltd., Budaörs Industrial and Technology Park, ValDeal Innovations Zrt. andIn-Q-Tech Incubation Centre and CHIC.
