CORK-based technology company Pervenio has been acquired by New York firm Fine Point Technologies for an undisclosed sum. Pervenio, which has its headquarters in Bishopstown, is a mobile device management company, which specialises in wireless device detection and management products for mobile communication companies. Fine Point chairman and chief executive Todd Ruelle said the acquisition fits in with its growth strategy of acquiring complementary mobile technology companies. Pervenio was founded in 2003 by chief executive Ian Deakin. It has built up a client base worldwide. Mr Deakin will become Fine Point's chief technology officer once the deal is completed next week. The company will then be rebranded as Fine Point Technologies Ireland.
