Full members have the right to Speak and vote at the General Assembly; they are eligible to run for the IASP governing bodies; and have the highest discounts on conference registration fees, books purchases, etc. They benefit from the IASP Accreditation (IASP certificate of Full membership).
Second:
The category Affiliate Member is open to Science Parks and technology- based Business Incubators under construction (not yet operational).
To be considered "under construction", a Science Park or Business Incubator must meet either one of the following requisites:
- That construction work has already begun, or that a legal entity has been created to develop and manage the Park or Incubator.
Please also note that Operational Science Parks and Business incubators do not qualify for this category, but only for full membership.
Affiliate members have the right to speak at the General Assembly; to upgrading to Full membership when reaching the operational stage; and enjoy discounts on conference registration fees, books purchase, etc. They benefit from the IASP Accreditation (IASP certificate of Affiliate membership).
Third:
The category Associate Member is open to organisations that are not Science Parks or technology-based Business Incubators, but which have an interest in making part of the IASP network.
For example:
- Universities.
- Technology Institutes.
- Associations.
- Development Agencies.
- Consulting or Brokerage firms.
- Engineering or Architecture firms.
- Individual persons (social researchers, experts, academics.), etc.
Please note that Science Parks and technology-based Business Incubators do not qualify for this category, but only for Full or Affiliate membership.

SERVICES
Networking assistance:
Many of our services are addressed to enhancing the networking abilities of our members, placing them in contact with each other throughout the world and locating the person or organisation that can provide support at any given moment.
This customised networking support for members, backed by the IASP staff at all times, happens through e-mail, dedicated sections of our website, documentation, database searches, etc.
Brokerage and matchmaking:
Much of our networking assistance involves matchmaking. At our members' request, we facilitate the creation of global partnerships, putting in contact companies located in Science Parks all over the world. This is a highly valued service that Science Park managers often use to give added satisfaction to their resident companies.
Use of the IASP e-mail broadcast service:
This is a widely used service by our members. We immediately distribute our members' news, proposals or queries throughout our worldwide network. All responses are gathered by our staff and then sent back to the interested persons.
Access to member specific sections of our interactive website:
Our interactive website enables IASP members to enhance their global visibility and to keep their main data and contact details permanently up to date.
Marketing:
The international marketing and promotional activities of our members are reinforced by the IASP using our e-mailing services and the news and events sections of our website.
Conferencing:
We assist our members in the organisation of their own conferences and events. The IASP Conference Organisation Manual gathers our vast experience on how to organise such events. We also help our members in selecting themes, finding speakers and in the marketing of their events.
